Poor Battery Life on Your Used iPhone?

It Might Be Your Settings

Many users assume poor battery life on a used iPhone is due to an aging battery, but in some cases, it’s actually caused by unoptimized system settings. Adjusting these key settings can effectively improve battery performance:

1.Turn off unnecessary Background App Refresh

Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and select Off or Wi-Fi Only. This prevents apps from consuming battery power while running in the background.

3.Disable dynamic effects

Access Settings > Accessibility > Motion and enable Reduce Motion. Static interfaces lower processor load, indirectly saving battery power.

2.Adjust Location Services permissions

Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. For non-essential apps (e.g., games, entertainment), set permissions to While Using the App or Never to reduce battery drain from location tracking.

4.Additionally, check for abnormally power-hungry apps:

Go to Settings > Battery and view Battery Usage. If an app consumes excessive power (e.g., over 20% in one hour) despite infrequent use, it may be running abnormally in the background. Restart your phone or uninstall/reinstall the app.

By optimizing these settings, even a used battery with around 80% health can show significantly improved battery life.
